Prague Museum Night 2018 / PMN 2018

15th Prague Museum Night will again take place in the New Town Hall.

Openig time: Saturday  9th of June 2018 - 7 pm - 1 am

FREE ENTRY

Transport to the Prague buildings which attend the PMN will be ensured by free special bus lines.

Entrance to the New Town Hall is from Charles square.

PROGRAM DURING PMN 2018:

- TOUR OF THE TOWER of The New Town Hall | 221 steps without a lift.  A view from the observation deck of the tower.

- PERMANENT EXHIBITION in the Towerist flat | History of the New Town and Panoramatic Prague. The exhibition represents  the history of the New Town and the cities oldest panoramas.

- EXHIBITION in the Gallery of the Tower | FROM THE BEAUTY OF EUROPE Exhibition of photographs of artist JUDr. Hana Klímová. European cities and natural beauties of every season.

- EXHIBITION in the Gallery at the groundfloor |VÁCLAV HOLOHLAVSKÝ / PAINTINGS, GRAPHICS . The exhibition of the painter, capturing the moments of  life  that take place every day around us and sometimes offers incredible views. Joy is the most important thing for him in painting, not  style or boundaries.

- FESTIVAL in the courtyard | Sculpture festival SCULPTURE LINE in the courtyard.  You can sea the work of a famous Czech sculptor.

- The Baroque CHAPEL | is available for inspection on the first floor of the tower. Originally a gothic chapel which was later dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and the patron of the Czech lands, St. Wenceslas. The chapel is  newly renovated.

- The Great Hall | can be seen  on the first floor of the tower. The hall, whose walls present the remains of wall paintings, dating from the 16th century has three columns in the middle.

- The Town Councillors´s Lounge | is available for inspection at the ground floor of the Mazhaus. The lounge is furnished with beautiful antique furniture and is dominated by original painted wooden ceiling.

- The Mazhaus | you can visit the Mazhaus at the ground floor. The gothic entrance hall has columns and a stone floor vault and there are remnants of  original drawings on the walls

- The STATUE of Neptun | is available for inspection at the entrance to the wedding hall on the ground floor. The statue is made of fine sandstone, and was created in the years 1875 - 1877  by the sculptor Bohuslav Schnirch.

- The Courtyard | you can visit the Courtyard at the ground floor. Paved courtyard with a fountain and a well. There are pillows to sit on made by sculptures Veronika Psotková.

- The piano in the courtyard |One piano in connection with the project "Pianos in the street" is located inside the courtyard. You can play on the piano or listen to other playing visitors.

REFRESHMENT:

Street Food Pop Up |great food in the courtyard. During the Prague Museum Night you can taste  great street food in the courtyard of the New town hall within the context of the Street Food Pop Up festival.

 Exit from New Town Hall through the courtyard to Vodičkova street.

WARNING: There is no barrier-free access to the New Town Hall! Only in the courtyard.
