Instructions for visitors

  1. Opening times and ticket sales

    From 23 April to 30 September, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., closed on Mondays.

    The last tickets will be sold 30 minutes before closing time. It is within the
    discretions of the owner to end ticket sales earlier, should the tower be
    overcrowded with visitors or for some other valid reasons.
    Admission has to be paid in advance. The admission fee is Kč 40,- per person.
    Ticket are valid for a single visit. Visitors should keep their ticket during the entire
    visit and upon request submit it for inspection. The box office will not také back
    any sold ticket.

    Entitled to a 50 % reduction are:
    • seniors
    • students, upon presentation of their student card

    Free entrance:

    • childern under 6 years
    • journalists (card)
    • disabled persons

  2. Visiting the historical monument

    The tower may be visited only on a individual basis.
    Other parts of the New Town Hall are not usually open to the public.
    There is no lift going up the tower.
    From the 3rd floor onwards visitors have to také a staircase with balustrades - the whole staircase, steps and balustrades, are historically protected monuments and do not satisfy existing safety standarts.
    Visitors who decide to mount the tower as far as the gallery, will do so at their own responsibility and hazard.

  3. Protection of the historical monument

    Barred from entry to the tower will be

    • persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs
    • unkempt subject
    • unaccompanied children under the age of 15 years
    • persons with dogs and other animals

    During the visit visitors will refrain from

    • in any way damaging or endangering the tower and its equipment
    • touching anything with the exception of the balustrade
    • writing or painting on the walls
    • making noise
    • eating and drinking
    • smoking and handling an open flame
    • entering with luggage

  4. Complaints

    In buing a ticket, visitors confirm a contractual agreement that makes it mandatory
    from them to fully respect the rules for visitors set down in these instructions.
    Should they violate any of the rules, the persons in charge could request them to
    leave.
    Visitors dissatisfied with the services provided during the visit may lodge a
    complaint with the box office. The cashier will either settle the complaint on the
    spot or write a report to be handed over, at the end of office hours, to the
    New Town Hall keeper.
    Every complaint has to be settled within 30 day. Should
    the visitor not be satisfied with the result, he/she may appeal to the director of
    New Town Hall, who will deal with the complaint within 30 days of its
    reception.

These Instructions for visitors will take effect on 22 April 2008.
